Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Life Ventures LLC ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use Cael at caelagent.com and through supported messaging channels (the "Service"). We are the controller of the personal information processed through the Service.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and your linked messaging identifier (for example, your Telegram user ID).
• Content you provide: the messages, voice notes, images, instructions, memories, contacts, and tasks you send to or create with the Service.
• Connected-service data: when you connect an integration (for example, a calendar, email, or a tool via the Model Context Protocol), we access and store the data and access tokens needed to provide it. Access tokens are encrypted at rest.
• Usage and billing data: activity, usage counts, plan, and subscription/payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: log data, device/browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address, collected to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

• To provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service and to perform the tasks you request.
• To personalize the assistant by remembering your preferences and context.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions, and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To communicate with you about the Service, including service and security notices.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under U.S. state privacy laws. We do not use your private content to train third-party foundation models, and we direct our AI providers not to use API content for their model training where that option is available.

3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal information on these bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request); legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, and to prevent abuse); consent (for optional features and connected integrations you choose to enable, which you may withdraw); and legal obligation (to comply with applicable law).

4. Service providers and disclosures

We share personal information only as needed to run the Service, with providers acting on our behalf under appropriate contractual protections, including:

• AI / model providers (e.g., OpenAI) — to generate responses and perform tasks.
• Messaging platforms (e.g., Telegram) — to deliver and receive your messages.
• Payment processing (e.g., Stripe) — to handle subscriptions and billing.
• Connected integrations you authorize (e.g., Google services, tools you add via MCP).
• Search and browsing infrastructure used to fulfill web tasks you request.
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure (e.g., Railway, Vercel) — to host and serve the Service.

We may also disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, to protect our rights, safety, and property or those of others, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).

5. AI processing and automated actions

The Service uses automated systems and AI to interpret your requests and act on them. Output may be inaccurate; you are responsible for reviewing it. The Service does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you without your involvement, and it seeks your confirmation before significant or irreversible actions.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can delete individual items (such as memories and reminders) at any time, and you can delete your entire account, which permanently removes your data as described below.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. U.S. state-law residents (including under the CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (which we do not do), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

• In-product controls: view, edit, and delete memories, reminders, contacts, and integrations from your dashboard.
• Delete everything: use "Delete account" to permanently erase your account and associated data — including messages, memories, tasks, contacts, connected-tool tokens, and your isolated browser profile — and to cancel any active subscription.
• Requests: you may also contact us at alec@caelagent.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent where permitted.

8. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption of integration tokens at rest, hashing of passwords, per-user data isolation, and isolated, per-user browser sessions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International transfers

We operate in the United States and may process information there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. You must be 18 or older to use the Service. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact alec@caelagent.com and we will delete it.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage (for example, to keep you signed in) and infrastructure cookies from our hosting and payment providers. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice and update the date above. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
